Tri Star Basketball Camp - January 11-15, 2010.
The Distinctive Homes Tri Star Basketball Camp was attended by more than 200 young players aged 7-18. Players from all over the state and country halped make this camp another huge success.
Despite 42-degree conditions on day one, campers put on a sensational display of effort and dedication, and were treated to coaching from 36ERS players including John Gilchrist, Cortez Groves and David Cooper, as well as Lightning star Jess Foley and Camp directors Al Green, Brett Maher and Rupert Sapwell.
On Wednesday night campers and family packed the Brett Maher Court to see the 36ERS power over the Cairns Taipans, while All*Stars from the 15-and-over group played during the half time break, and the U/10s hosted the sponsors' parade.
On the final night, the pool/karaoke night was another classic night, no Australian Idols at the Camp, we're sorry to report, but definitely some 36ER and Lightning potential!
A special thanks to our sponsors: Distinctive Homes, Channel Nine, Marcellina Pizza, The Advertiser, Club Financial Services, Kanga Coachlines, MBAA, Rentcorp, Pura Milk, Golden North, Foodland, Coca Cola, Tip Top Bakeries, We Print it and the Adelaide 36ERS.
Finally, to the hard-working coaches, staff and volunteers throughout the week - well done. It was a massive week, made do-able by the high quality people.
