Brett Maher is part of an exciting new basketball development coming to Adelaide in April this year.

bball.com.au's Brett Maher is behind a very exciting basketball development coming to Adelaide in April, here are his thoughts . . .

I am very excited to be a part of a new competition starting up in April called the Foot locker High Stakes Hoops. It is on from April 6-11 and is going to be held at The Brett Maher Court in Adelaide.

There are so many positives for basketball associated with this tournament. Having people like Buddy Franklin (AFL) and Julie Corletto (Netball) as team owners should bring awareness from other sports and of course having the whole tournament aired on ONE HD will give great exposure for players and sponsors.

A few new and old rules have been introduced to spice things up, my favourite being the �Game Breaker� where for three minutes a half 3 pointers are worth 4 points.

My team is going to be called the �FLEET� and we hope to have a competitive team to challenge for the $250,000 prize money.(WOW!)
